Contributed to a book by conducting research on case studies and gathering real-world examples

Gelo is a human-centered design studio in Belgium, renowned for creating (public) spaces that prioritise people’s needs. In 2025, I had the opportunity to join their team for three months. During this time, my contributions included:

  • Conduct desk research on the 15 topics covered in the book Op Mensenmaat, looking for best practices around the world.

  • Carrying out field research, including journey mapping, user interviews, and observations for other projects related to the public sector

  • Preparing content for social media

  • Contributing to creative thinking and ideation

Results

One of my tangible accomplishments is the publication of the book Op Mensenmaat, to which I contributed in its development, including the content, best practices and layout.

Apart from the book, I have also expanded my expertise in digital user research, applying it to the design of spaces and services for real projects in the healthcare and public sectors.
